First Underwater Car in World-Rinspeed sQuba




Rinspeed sQuba was designed and developed by Rinspeed company situated in Zumikon, Switzerland. This is the first car in the world which can be driven through both land and underwater. The top speed of car on land is 120 km/h  ie,75 mph and on the surface of water, the top speed is 6 km/h ie, about 3.2 Knot 3.7 mph and underwater top speed is 3 km/h ie, about 1.6 Knot 1.9 mph. The car is developed with the zero emission technology and uses 3 powerful electric motor in which one of them is used for riding in land and other two propeller 2 × 800W motors for riding under water. Open cockpit is implemented in the car which facilitates the passengers to escape in emergency situations. The passengers can breath air comes from an integrated tank of compressed air that divers know from scuba diving. The power required for the functioning of car is provided by rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries. The idea is developer by the company's CEO Frank M. Rinderknecht who was inspired by the james bond's film in 1977 ie, "The spy Who Loved Me". The cost of the car is  approximately US$1.5.
