Burj Khalifa-World's Tallest Building

Burj Khalifa is the tallest manmade structure in the world. The building is not just the world’s tallest building, but after all it has defined luxury with amazing architecture and world-class amenities. Burj Khalifa is situated at the heart of the city of Dubai. Standing at a height of 2717 feet. The construction of this mega structure started on 21 September 2004. The exterior of this structure was completed on 1 October 2009. The foundation have 192 piles buried more than 50 m (164 feet) deep. About  45,000 meter cube of concrete, weighing more than 110,000 tonnes were used for the construction of the concrete and steel foundation of the building.  For the full construction of Burj Khalifa, 330,000 meter cube (431,600 cu yd) of concrete and 39,000 tonnes (43,000 ST; 38,000 LT) of steel rebar were used. Approximately 26,000 hand-cut glass panels were used in the exterior cladding of Burj Khalifa.The construction will have taken 22 million man-hours.  The building was officially opened on 4 January 2010. The estimated total cost for this project was about US$1.5 billion.
